Engineered quartz delivers brilliant clarity, glimmering radiance, solid pattern and a cool feel. Engineered quartz made by comprised of 93% quartz crystals and 7% acrylic resin. This mixture is than baked, pressed and polished. It is non-porous, very hard and does not require a sealant that must be periodically reapplied. It can be used in any indoor surfacing application in kitchens, bathrooms and floors, such as countertops, island tops, shower surrounds, backsplashes, walls, fireplace surrounds, tabletops, desktops and more. However, being an engineered product, it does not have the same natural character in grain and texture you would find in a natural quartzite.
